ABOUT
A B O U T
Hi! I’m Toshiko — a Los Angeles-based photographer, stylist, and all-around creative with experience in both agency life and the wild world of freelancing. I specialize in lifestyle imagery across food & beverage, interiors, and the occasional foray into fashion and beauty. From concept to execution, I often lead projects end-to-end — covering creative direction, styling, photography, and retouching.
My background in advertising helped me develop a strong understanding of visual storytelling and how to create content that resonates with different audiences. Over the years, I’ve worked on lifestyle, ecomm, and social content for brands like Coppola Wine, Häagen-Dazs, and Nissin. As a freelancer, I’ve partnered with clients like Mazda and REI to craft visuals that feel thoughtful, on-brand, and engaging.
Originally from Hong Kong, I spent most of my time in the Bay Area before moving to Los Angeles 8 years ago. I hold a BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley, and I've been chasing creativity ever since — starting in fashion with visual merchandising and styling, then becoming the in-house stylist for a fashion tech company, where I helped shape their eComm, editorial, and lifestyle content.
When I’m not on set or in the studio, I enjoy cooking, rock climbing, and spending time outdoors — always on the lookout for good light and good food.
